As a single artist with a tinge of OCD I am married to patterns of certainty. Certain food, wine, shirts. Certain paint, canvas and formats.
A delivery of 40 inch square canvases created uncertainty stirring a deniable urge to immediately paint a circle as the metaphoric basis of life.
Rather, a synopsis of Pattern Recognition in three vertically oriented works came to the fore as a Trilogy.
A single static line of identical height and geometric position on each work creates an addendum to the rhythm of the patterns and their depth of field, completing negative space as the beat goes on.
